An urgent care center offers quick and convenient medical attention when you cannot see your primary care physician. At an urgent care you can receive the testing, diagnosis, and treatment options that your primary doctor would provide, but in a more convenient matter. At WellCare Urgent Care center, our medical experts are here to provide you with the personized attention you need, right when you need it.

You should go to urgent care when you need medical attention outside of your primary physician’s hours such as on a weekend, holiday, or at night, or if you are out of town. You should only go to urgent care when you are experiencing a non-life-threatening emergency. Urgent care is not an alternative to the emergency room, and you should dial 911 for emergencies such as serious head or neck injury, uncontrolled bleeding, severe chest pain, severe burns, pregnancy-related problems, seizures, and heart attack or stroke symptoms.

An urgent care center can treat a wide range of mild to moderate illnesses and injuries, as well as provide testing for diagnosis or preventative measures. Conditions that an urgent care might treat include mild cuts, eye irritation, fever and flu, finger or toe fractures, moderate back pain, severe sore throat or cold, urinary tract infections, or vomiting.

The cost of visiting urgent care is much cheaper than an emergency room visit, saving you time and money. At WellCare Urgent Care center, we accept a number of insurance providers to help cover the cost of your visit and medications.
