Nausea, Vomiting, and Diarrhea

Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are all symptoms of various illnesses. If you have been experiencing any of these then it may mean that you have another health condition causing these symptoms. To get treatment started come into WellCare Urgent Care Center.

Everyone experiences the feeling of nausea or acts of vomiting and diarrhea at some point in their lives. These various symptoms can be due to many factors like food poisoning, flu, dizziness, or infections. Most of the time it is usually nothing to be concerned with.

What is Nausea/ Vomiting/ Diarrhea?

Feeling nauseous happens before vomiting. It is a feeling of uneasiness that lets you know that you may vomit. The vomiting is when the stomach forces the contents out through the mouth. Diarrhea is having loose, liquid bowel movements that occur frequently and urgently. All of these are not diseases in themselves but could be symptoms of other health conditions. At WellCare Urgent Care center we can help to find the underlying cause of these symptoms for you so we can start the proper treatment.

Treatment for Nausea/ Vomiting/ Diarrhea

Typically, you can treat nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea at home with over-the-counter medication or by eating a bland diet. Foods such as bananas, bread, and crackers can help to settle these symptoms. Avoid hard-to-digest foods and make sure to stay hydrated with clear liquids. As well as getting plenty of rest. If the symptoms become more severe then you should seek medical attention.
